Meet your Osteo

Dr. Mason Cotton

I’m Mason, an Osteopath and the founder of HIVE Osteo & Rehab.

My passion for movement, training and helping people feel their best has been a big part of who I am for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing basketball and AFL, and later worked as a personal trainer, which gave me a strong appreciation for strength, conditioning and the role that movement plays in both performance and recovery.

I went on to study a Bachelor and Masters of Osteopathy at Victoria University. Since then, I’ve worked in multidisciplinary private practice, helping people manage injuries, overcome pain and build back their strength and confidence.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll usually find me doing something active. I love playing golf, staying fit and, whenever I can, getting down to the coast. Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads are some of my favourite places to spend time, whether that’s getting in the ocean, enjoying the beach or simply switching off.

I think this connection to an active lifestyle is an important part of how I work with my clients. I understand how frustrating it can be when an injury stops you from doing the things you love — whether that’s playing sport, training at the gym, working, playing golf or simply enjoying an active lifestyle.

At HIVE, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, listened to and supported. I combine hands-on osteopathic treatment with exercise rehabilitation, strength and conditioning and practical advice, with your individual goals at the centre of your care.

Because getting out of pain is only part of the journey. The real goal is getting you back to doing what you love.
